New Patient Exam

You’ll be made welcome by Paula, our office manager and front desk. After filling out some forms, Dr. Alegre will chat with you to get a feel for what you want to achieve with your dental treatment.

Diagnosis and Consultation

We take digital X-rays and intraoral photos. Dr. Alegre does an oral exam, oral cancer screening and evaluates your jaw joints for any issues. He also takes into account your medical history to make sure there are no contraindications.

He’ll go over the results on the treatment room TV screen and recommend treatment, with options. He’ll answer any questions you have and explain the treatment so you really understand it.

Dr. Alegre will always propose the most conservative treatment options in order to preserve the health and integrity of your teeth and gums.

Expert, comfortable cleanings by our hygienist

You’ll get comfortable cleanings and plenty of patient education on home oral care if you need it. We use an ultrasonic scaler to remove plaque and a prophy jet to give your teeth a white, polished look.

If you have gum disease, we treat it with scaling and root planing using our ultrasonic scaler, and for more progressed gum disease, Arestin slow-release antibiotic treatment. Our in-house periodontist treats severe gum disease.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Dr. Alegre uses tooth-colored composite material for filings. Composite fillings are made of reinforced acrylic resin. Today’s composite fillings are strong and long-lasting.

Family Dentistry

We treat many multi-generational families in our practice. In fact, one of the most rewarding things of our dental practice is the long-term relationships we make with people.

We don’t treat small children as we feel it is better they work with a pediatric dentist, but we do see children starting around 9 to 10 to get them used to the office and to getting treatment.
