New Teeth in One Day in Boca Raton: Is It Real?

It sounds too good to be true. You walk in with failing teeth or a loose denture, and you walk out the same day with a full set of fixed-in teeth you can smile with.

The short answer is yes, this is real treatment, and New Teeth in One Day in Boca Raton is something we do here. But there’s a longer answer too, and it matters. One day is when the implants go in and your new teeth get attached. It isn’t the whole story from start to finish.

Here’s what actually happens, who it tends to suit, and what to expect before, during and after that one big day.

So what does “one day” actually mean?

On surgery day, Dr. Alegre does any extractions that are needed, places the implants, and attaches a set of custom-made temporary teeth that were planned and made ahead of time. You leave with teeth that are fixed in. Nothing to take out at night, no adhesive, no gap to hide. These temporaries carry you while your permanent teeth are being made.

What happens before and after that day is spread out. There’s a planning phase first, with scans and digital impressions. And there’s a later phase, after your mouth has healed, when your final teeth are made. So the implants and the new smile happen in one day. The full process takes a few months to finish.

It’s a different idea from fixing one tooth at a time with a crown here and a filling there. We say this plainly because the difference catches people off guard. Knowing it up front makes the whole thing easier to plan around.

The planning that happens before surgery day

None of this works without good planning, and that’s where most of the quiet work happens. We scan your mouth and jaw with a cone beam CT scanner, which gives a 3D picture of your teeth, bone and jaw. Digital impressions are taken with an intraoral scanner, so there’s no tray of goop.

Those scans let Dr. Alegre see where your bone is densest and pick the best spots and angles for the implants. He plans the surgery in 3D software before touching anything. The digital impressions go to our lab so your temporary teeth can be designed and processed in advance.

That’s why the teeth can go on the same day. They’re already made and waiting. You can read more about the technology we use if you like knowing how the pieces fit together.

What happens on surgery day

Dr. Alegre places 4 implants in each arch, and sometimes 5 or 6 when he wants extra security. They’re angled on purpose, which lets them anchor into stronger bone. Any teeth that need to come out come out first.

During the procedure he uses X-Guide 3D navigation, which shows the surgery in magnified detail while he works. It helps him place each implant exactly where it was planned. We’re one of only a handful of practices in Florida using it.

Then the temporary teeth are attached. You can use them right away, and Dr. Alegre will tell you which foods are fine to start with and which ones to hold off on while things heal.

If the idea of a long appointment makes you tense, oral sedation is available. It puts you into a light dozing state, and the time passes a lot faster than you’d think. If you’ve been putting dental work off for years because of nerves, you’re not the first person to walk in here feeling that way.

Is New Teeth in One Day right for you?

This tends to fit two groups of people.

The first is anyone with teeth that are broken down across the board. If most of your teeth need crowns, root canals or extractions, trying to rescue each one can get expensive, drawn out and sometimes doesn’t hold. Replacing a whole arch can be the faster and healthier route.

The second is denture wearers who are done with it. Loose teeth, sore spots, adhesive, food you can’t chew. Fixed-in teeth change that daily experience completely.

If you’re only missing one tooth or a few, full-arch treatment isn’t what you need. Single dental implants handle that well. The only way to know which one fits your mouth is a look and a scan.

The full details, step by step, are on our New Teeth in One Day page.

Getting your final teeth

After a few months of healing, Dr. Alegre rescans your teeth and implants. Bone and gum tissue reshape themselves as they heal, so the final teeth are made from what your mouth looks like then, not what it looked like on day one. That’s the whole reason for the wait.

Your permanent teeth are made from zirconia ceramic, a very strong and lifelike porcelain. For an opposing arch, or for people who grind a lot, metal-reinforced acrylic may be used instead to help prevent fracture. Our lab is excellent, and the results look like teeth, not like dental work.

Before anything is finalized, there’s a try-in. You see how they fit, how they feel and how they look, and you say what you think. If something isn’t right, that’s the time to say so.

What life looks like afterward

Most people talk about food first. Chewing comfortably again, eating in front of other people without planning around it, not thinking about whether something will slip.

Then there’s the smile itself. People stop covering their mouth in photos. They laugh without the half-second check first.

Care is straightforward: brush, clean around the implants the way we show you, and keep coming in for checkups. Implants don’t get cavities, but the gums and bone around them still need looking after. Those regular visits are how small things stay small.

Common questions we hear

Does it hurt? You’re numb for the procedure, and sedation is there if you want it. There’s soreness afterward, like any surgery, and Dr. Alegre will go over how to manage it.

How many implants will I need? Usually 4 per arch, sometimes 5 or 6. Your scan answers that.

Can I do just one arch? Yes. One or both, whichever your situation calls for.

What about cost? Implant treatment is only minimally covered by dental insurance. Paula, our office manager, works with patients on this, and there are financing options through several healthcare financing companies. Ask us and we’ll go through what’s available.

Will people be able to tell? That’s the point of the try-in and the lab we use. Natural-looking is the goal, not obvious.

Where to start

Start with a consultation. Ours is the $79 Dental Implant Consultation: time with Dr. Alegre, a limited oral exam, a CBCT scan if it’s needed, and a real conversation about your goals, your options and whatever’s been worrying you.

You’ll leave knowing whether this approach fits your mouth, and what the path would look like if it does. No pressure, just answers. Dr. Alegre has a conservative approach and only recommends treatment you actually need, which you can read more about on his page.
